We believe the best way to find a trainer who you click with is by going through a full workout with a trainer you choose. The complementary sessions that gyms offer are usually “fitness assessments” where you spend most of your time getting weighed, measured and prodded by a randomly chosen trainer while being made to feel inadequate and insecure. This is followed by a brief workout and then a hard sell to purchase an expensive training package.
When you book a session on Find Your Trainer, you provide your goals and fitness history to your trainer ahead of time so when you arrive at the gym you can hit the ground running. And since the session is already paid for, you don’t need to worry about getting sold to. If you two hit it off, you can easily book again. If not, you can try somebody or someplace new!

- Prefer functional training focused on improving core strength, flexibility, balance, stability and coordination

- In-home or in-building-gym training are good for people who:
- Want to train in the privacy of their own home

If you are new to fitness and working out or feel intimidated or uncomfortable in a big gym, then training in a studio or at-home are both great options!
After booking your session, you will have the option to fill out a very short questionnaire asking you for your goals, injury history and fitness level that will be sent to your trainer and used to design your session. While it is optional, we highly encourage you to complete this questionnaire so that you can get the most out of your workout.
We require that any changes to your session time be completed at https://yourtrainer.com at least 24 hours before your original session start time. If your new session is more expensive than your original session, we will charge you the difference. If it is cheaper, you will receive a credit for the difference which will be automatically applied to your next session.
You can cancel your session up to 24 hours in advance of the original session start time from "My Account," and you will receive a credit for the full value of your session which will automatically be applied to your next session.
The 24 hour notice requirement exists to provide trainers sufficient opportunity to fill your slot. As a matter of fairness, we still pay the gym and the trainer when you no-show or don’t cancel/reschedule in time. As a result, you will not receive a credit for your session.
Yes! You can book as many sessions as you'd like to ensure you get the trainers and times that you want. All of your future sessions will appear in "My Account." Just remember that if you need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, you must do so at least 24 hours before your session start time in order to receive full credit for the original session price.
We are constantly working with our gym partners to ensure that there is always a good selection of trainers and times available to book. Additional slots are being added every day, and new slots are frequently added because of last minute cancellations, so check back often!
If you don't see times you want available, you can also use the "Request Availability" feature and we will notify you once the trainer has any openings that match your request.
We are currently in beta mode with just a handful of gyms while we work out any kinks. But we would like to have as many gyms and trainers on the Find Your Trainer platform as possible. To help us get a better idea of who we should add next, please tell us what gym you belong to here.
