About Helen

From my background in snowboarding to long distance open water swims, to rock climbing to American Ninja Warrior training, to weight lifting to Krav Maga ...I take all that fun and apply it to your fitness goals.  Let's customize a plan that works best for you! Workouts will be tough but fun! I always mix it up so it doesn't get too boring.  I love a good HIIT workout and bodyweight exercises that don't need equipment! 


We can meet at your home, gym, or even outdoors.  Also happy to take you to the pool, ocean, ninja course or rock climbing gym to switch things up.   I try to make it fun! 


My speciality is educating women about strength training - both in form and technique but also the benefits of lifting heavy.

-Anacapa Island to Oxnard Channel swim, California, 12.4 miles in 8 hours and 30 minutes


-Newport, Vermont to Canada and back, 15 miles, in 9 hours and 34 minutes


-#127 person in the world to swim an Ice Mile, 1 mile in 41 degree water in 33 minutes


-Represented USA in Murmansk, Russia, for the Murmansk Mile, 1 mile in 48 degree water

I'm constantly looking for new ways to improve my climbing and overall fitness. When I reached out to Helen, she gave me a simple plan both for working out and for improving my diet. To measure my progress, I started paying close attention to pull ups. I have never been able to do even one! After following Helen's routine of negative push ups, I could do one, two, and now I'm able to do at least 2 sets of 3 after a session of climbing. I've never seen such concrete results before, and it's really helped to motivate me to keep working! When giving me tips on starting to clean up my diet, Helen explained everything to me in a clear and easy way to help me understand. She even went the extra mile and said I could send her my meal logs for extra support, which really helped and now I'm able to keep up the habits she set up for me. You can tell that Helen loves what she does, and that totally rubbed off on me! Whether she was coaching me around climbing techniques, general fitness, or eating healthier, I became that much more motivated and excited. I highly recommend Helen!!

She has been my trainer for sometime now and she has been absolutely amazing. I shopped around for personal trainer at my Gym, but I didn't have good chemistry and I did not like her teaching style. I have major shoulder injury that set me back a bit from swimming and she has been working with me to strengthening around injury as prescribed by physical therapist while making them fun. She understand my personality and tailer my lesson plans for each month accordingly so that I can achieve my goals.
