What to expect

First we will sit down and talk about where you are fitness-wise and what you want to accomplish. We can talk about any limitations you have, your past experiences with a trainer and exercise in general, what you look forward to and what makes you uncomfortable about starting a training program. We will also talk about any struggles you may have when it comes to your diet. Doing no harm is the first priority so being totally honest with me about your physical limitations is so important. I design any program around the idea that I still want you to be able to do this when you are eighty.
The programs will consist of varying combinations of resistance training and aerobic conditioning depending on your goals. Those are the foundations of any total body program. TRX, elastic band, circuit style training, body weight workouts, HIIT style sessions and more conventional exercises will all be incorporated into the program. This variation keeps your body constantly challenged. We can work out wherever you are comfortable. Your home or my home gym (Check out the photos!) . It is all about you and wherever you feel comfortable.
I will provide personalized meal guidelines taking into consideration what you like and don’t like. I will show you what to avoid, what to include and how to plan ahead.

My Favorite Client Story

I will never forget this guy. He was a client at a big-box I was working at. I had seen him around the club for awhile. Very unsure of himself, shy, awkward. Never saw him talk to anyone. He signed up for training and was with me about four months. He hit it hard, always showed up and never quit. He would keep going even after I said stop. You can make good physical progress in four months and we did, but it was the change in his attitude about himself that was the best. After just that short time training he had tapped into that bit of self-confidence that feeds on itself and he just took off with it. That was a joy to watch. I am really proud I was able to get him started in that transformation.

My Philosophy

This is a no-judgment zone. I have been where you are. I know that this can be intimidating and that those stairs are looking mighty steep. No worries! We are going to break it down into manageable steps particular to your program and goals. I will do everything in my power to keep you on track. Accountability is critical and I will call you out on things I see slipping. If I didn’t do that I wouldn’t be doing my job. When you succeed it is your success, if you fail it is my failure.

My Experience

I had been training over the past 20 years but wanted to take what I had to offer to the next level. I became a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and Weight Loss Specialist on 2015. After working at a big-box gym as a Personal Trainer for a time I decided to try to make a go of this on my own and here we are.
